town council member candidate
Nancy Sanchez Faul, who has lived in New Baltimore for more than a year with David, her husband of 20 years, brings with her three decades of work in public service and community activism both here in the United States and internationally.
With a BA in Social Work and Spanish from Simmons University in Boston, Nancy has worked with local organizations, unions and churches in New England, Tennessee and Guatamala. She served as Chair of the Board of the Essex County, Massachusetts Community Organization, facilitated negotiations with unions and management with Hale Hospital in Haverhill, Massachusetts, and worked to initiate a Machinist Training Program with General Electric and the City of Lynn, MA, to create jobs in the industry and spur economic development in the area.
She is a member of the Greene County Historical Society, the Sierra Club and the New Baltimore Conservancy. Nancy is the proud mom of five children, two of whom have served in Iraq and Afghanistan as members of the United States Marine Corps., and is a loving grand-mother to eight grand-children.
Again, and this is important for all of you to know. The New Baltimore Democratic Club does not choose candidates based on their political enrollment. Nancy is an enrolled Independence Party member. We support her simply because we think she will do a great job for all of us, regardless of what she checked off on her voter registration card. We believe in diversity in our town government, which has nothing to do with party enrollment, and everything to do with public service to New Baltimore.
